Drone logistics

Off the road and into the skies

Online trade and the related deliveries are booming. And there has been yet another boost since the recent COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, densely populated areas are struggling with the complex logistics of competing parcel delivery services frequently popping in and out of the same places on a daily basis. For those living in cities, we are seeing a fall in the quality of living as a result of the greater traffic volume and the noise, air pollution and packaging waste that go hand in hand with it.

We need to consider that the current logistics for parcel deliveries are neither appropriate for our times nor customer-oriented. It often takes several attempts to deliver, or the eagerly awaited parcels only reach their recipients after taking major detours via parcel shops or neighbours – and sometimes not at all.

The good news is that 85% of all parcels weigh under 3.5 kilos, which means it’s possible to deliver them in a weatherproof plastic container by drone.

DDRTs are the piece of smart infrastructure you need for your modern passenger lift so that the flying parcels can be delivered safely to your house.

Our added value: a standardised parcel size means that reusable boxes can be employed to significantly reduce packaging waste. Einer fully automatic, environmentally friendly and barrier-free parcel deliveries at a time that suits the recipient. steht somit nichts mehr im Weg.
